About the Ronald McDonald House in Providence, RI

Welcome to RMH Providence!

As a member of the community for 30 years, The Ronald McDonald House of Providence continues to support the health and well-being of hospitalized children and their families. Our program allows families to spend additional time with a sick child, help ease financial burdens, provide a sense of normalcy and keep families together during times of medical crisis.

Outreach

The Ronald McDonald House of Providence is an active community member in Rhode Island, Southeast Massachusetts, and beyond.

We partner with local schools and their students, aids, and staff to benefit students in building their life skills, confidence and encouraging their whole development.

The Ronald McDonald House of Providence also hosts many community events that are open to the public. Including the Women’s Classic 5k, which features a Health & Wellness Fair. The fair promotes women’s and family health and wellness, with a conglomerate of products and information. If you are interested in participating in this great event, information is available here.

Our staff also speak at local schools, businesses, and community events to educate individuals about the Ronald McDonald House, how it impacts the community, and thank those who generously collect pop tabs, coordinate Wish List drives, or support the House in some way.

Community Supported

Despite our name and blue ribbon affiliations, we are a community supported non-profit, responsible for raising about 90% of our annual operating budget. This is done through:

  • Corporate support
  • Grants
  • Individual donations
  • In-kind donations – paper towels, food, cereal, clothing, bedding and more
  • Events
